What are the responsibilities and job description for the Busser at Upscale Restaurant (Part time) position at Amano?
Amano Restaurant Group recently purchased and renovated an old bank building that will houses two different concepts AMANO and CÁN.
Amano is the flagship craft Mexican food and cocktail experience that has earned a James Beard Award for Best Chef in Mountain Region. This concept celebrates regional dishes and wine through Mexico and popular Mexican culture through its loteria menu cocktail program.
CÁN, the newest concept, is a Mexican speakeasy that celebrates Mexican art culture alongside food, remedios, and spirits. Cán is short for Michoacán, where our Chef, Salvador Alamilla is from.
We are looking for a Server Assistant to support our wait staff and set up our dining areas. These shifts can range from 3-6 hours long, depending on service so this is a part time position with future opportunities for growth in the restaurant.
Server Assistants greet guests with a warm welcome, assist servers in helping water tables, clear plates, mark with silverware, etc. They also ensure that tables are set to standard and ready to receive guests. Responsibilities
- Prepare dining areas before guests are seated
- Place tableware and glasses on tables
- Remove dirty utensils and replenish, as needed
- Clean and reset tables, booths, chairs, etc after guests leave with appropriate plateware, silverware, glassware, linens. etc.
- Maintain health and safety regulations at all kitchen and dining areas
- Refill waters as needed in the restaurant for guests
Skills
- Work experience as a Host, Busser, Food Runner or other entry-level role in a restaurant is a plus
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends, evenings and holidays
- Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules
- Physical ability and stamina to stand for long hours
- Ability to multitask and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to speak Spanish is a plus!
Pay is $9 tips
