Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site teaching role located in Mount Vernon, NY. Teachers at Amani Public Charter School are responsible for developing and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student performance, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment, and supporting students in achieving academic excellence. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with colleagues, communicating with families, and contributing to staff development and school-wide initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Teaching to create and implement effective and engaging classroom activities.
- Strong background in Education and Training to support student academic and personal development.
- Exceptional Communication skills to effectively engage with students, families, and colleagues.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Proven ability to collaborate with team members and adapt to the needs of diverse learners.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field required; teaching certification strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in teaching middle school students is a plus.
