Duties
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff and baristas
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and special dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Process cash and credit transactions efficiently, handling cash handling and cashiering responsibilities with precision
- Maintain knowledge of wine pairings, cocktail recipes, and food safety protocols to provide expert recommendations
- Clear tables promptly, bussing dishes efficiently while ensuring sanitation standards are met at all times
Requirements
- Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing sales transactions accurately
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
- Ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment, balancing multiple tables and tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with beverage service including spirits, wine knowledge, cocktail preparation, and OpenTable reservations management is desirable
- Basic math skills for processing payments and calculating bills accurately
- Excellent communication skills to engage guests positively and upsell menu items confidently
