Role Summary
We are looking for a Director, Account Management (Platforms) to own and grow Amagi’s strategic relationships with platform customers (video service providers / content distributors). This leader will drive a land-and-expand growth model across a portfolio of platform accounts by expanding product adoption, improving retention, and building multi-threaded executive relationships.
This is a senior, customer-facing leadership role that blends commercial ownership (renewals expansion), strategic account planning, and cross-functional orchestration across Product, Engineering, Delivery/Operations, Support, Finance, and Legal.
What “Platforms” Means at Amagi (Scope)
Platform accounts typically include:
- Streaming platforms and video service providers (VSPs)
- Pay TV / vMVPD operators
- FAST platform operators and distribution aggregators
- OEM / device and distribution ecosystems (where relevant)
Key Outcomes (What Success Looks Like)
- Consistently delivers renewal and expansion targets across platform accounts (e.g. upsell/cross-sell, multi-year renewals).
- Builds executive sponsorship and deep stakeholder mapping across Content, Ad Ops, Engineering, Product, and Business teams at platform customers.
- Creates repeatable mechanisms for platform account health: QBRs, success plans, risk management, and value realization.
- Improves platform customer outcomes across time-to-launch, scale, reliability, monetization performance, and compliance.
Core Responsibilities
1) Own Revenue Growth for Platform Accounts (Renewals Expansion)
- Own the commercial plan for each platform account: renewals, expansions, and multi-year agreements.
- Identify and execute upsell/cross-sell opportunities across Amagi’s platform capabilities (e.g., playout, distribution, ad decisioning/monetization, managed services).
- Lead deal strategy, pricing/packaging discussions, and contract negotiations in partnership with Legal and Finance.
2) Strategic Account Leadership & Executive Relationship Management
- Serve as the senior point of contact for platform customers, building trusted, executive-level relationships and acting as the “voice of the customer” internally.
- Create and run account plans: stakeholder maps, growth hypotheses, adoption roadmaps, and risk mitigation plans.
- Lead QBRs / EBRs with platforms focused on measurable outcomes and joint roadmaps.
3) Platform Success: Adoption, Value Realization, and Operational Excellence
- Ensure platforms achieve value from Amagi through adoption planning, success milestones, service reviews, and incident/risk governance.
- Partner with Delivery/Support to maintain strong operating rhythms (weekly/bi-weekly syncs, escalation paths, launch readiness).
- Drive structured post-launch reviews: reliability, compliance, monetization performance, and expansion readiness.
4) Cross-Functional Orchestration & Internal Leadership
- Align internal teams to platform priorities; remove blockers across Product, Engineering, Operations, and Support.
- Convert platform feedback into crisp product asks, business cases, and roadmap influence.
- Coach and develop account managers (where applicable), building consistent playbooks for platform account growth.
5) Market & Competitive Intelligence
- Stay current on platform ecosystem trends, competitor moves, and evolving platform requirements; translate these into account strategies and internal recommendations.
Must-Have
- 10 years in enterprise account management / strategic sales / customer success in SaaS / video / OTT / broadcast / ad-tech environments (platform-facing experience strongly preferred).
- Demonstrated success driving renewals expansion with large enterprise customers and consistently exceeding revenue targets.
- Strong executive communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities and complex deal cycles.
Nice-to-Have
- Prior experience working with streaming platforms, Pay TV operators, FAST platforms, or large-scale video distributors.
- Familiarity with ad monetization flows, SSAI/DAI concepts, content supply chains, and broadcast/streaming operations.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
Leadership Expectations (Director Level)
- Owns outcomes end-to-end and sets the operating cadence for platform accounts.
- Builds internal alignment and drives decisions with clarity and urgency.
- Develops talent and scalable account management practices (playbooks, templates, governance).
Compensation
Annual base salary $135,000 – $165,000 USD, plus a Sales Incentive Plan. In accordance with local pay transparency laws, this reflects the expected target compensation range for this role in the United States. Actual compensation within the range will be determined based on job-related factors such as skills, experience, training, and location.
