Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate, dedicated Caregivers and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, mobility, and feeding to promote independence and comfort.
- Monitor vital signs and observe changes in patient conditions, accurately documenting findings in electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner.
- Administer medications and treatments following physician orders while adhering to HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques.
- Support patients with specialized needs including dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, behavioral health support, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts, catheters, and other assistive devices safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in acute care settings like Level I Trauma Centers or emergency departments to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by following infection control protocols and proper medical documentation procedures.
Requirements
- Valid CNA certification or equivalent licensure required; additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) are preferred.
- Experience working in diverse healthcare environments including hospitals (ICU, PICU), nursing homes, hospice, outpatient clinics, or home care settings.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient safety standards including HIPAA compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs in settings like assisted living or long-term care facilities.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks or similar platforms.
- Critical care experience or specialized training in areas like ICU, emergency medicine, infectious disease care, or post-acute care is highly valued.
- Strong communication skills coupled with a compassionate attitude to provide empathetic patient service across all age groups.
