Job Summary
Amada Senior Care Cary is looking for an experienced Home Care Scheduler to join our growing team.
This position is ideal for someone who already understands the unique scheduling demands of an in-home senior care agency and enjoys working with both caregivers and clients.
The primary responsibility of this position is managing caregiver schedules, coordinating coverage, responding quickly to call-outs and schedule changes, and helping ensure that every client receives dependable, consistent care.
Because home care does not always go according to schedule, this person must also have hands-on caregiving experience and be willing and able to occasionally provide client care when an urgent shift cannot otherwise be covered.
Previous scheduling experience with an in-home care, home health, private-duty care, or similar agency is required.
Primary Responsibilities
- Build and maintain caregiver/client schedules
- Match caregivers with clients based on availability, location, skills, personality, and client needs
- Maintain accurate caregiver availability
- Communicate schedule assignments and changes clearly with caregivers
- Communicate professionally with clients and families regarding scheduling
- Respond quickly to caregiver call-outs, late arrivals, and uncovered shifts
- Proactively work to fill open shifts and maintain continuity of care
- Monitor schedules and identify potential coverage problems before they become emergencies
- Maintain accurate scheduling information in AxisCare
- Communicate caregiver attendance or reliability concerns to management
- Coordinate with the Director of Care Operations and RN Supervisor regarding client and caregiver needs

Required Qualifications
- Previous experience scheduling caregivers for an in-home care, home health, private-duty care, or similar healthcare agency
- Strong understanding of the challenges involved in caregiver staffing and shift coverage
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm when schedules change unexpectedly
- Professional and compassionate communication skills
- Comfortable communicating frequently by phone, text, and scheduling software
- Strong computer skills
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance
- Ability to pass required background screening and other employment requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using AxisCare or similar home-care scheduling software
- Experience scheduling multiple caregivers and clients simultaneously
- Experience handling same-day call-outs and urgent staffing needs
- Familiarity with the Cary, Apex, Morrisville, Holly Springs, Fuquay-Varina, and surrounding areas

Pay: $21 per hour
Expected hours: Approximately 20–25 per week
