Job Summary
Managing a group of Field Service Engineers to maintain and increase customer satisfaction through high quality installation, repair, modification, and preventative maintenance of equipment and software.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Administrative
- Manage field service engineers and determine service or installation schedules.
- Educate and direct team members.
- Plan projects and manage quality, cost, and progress.
- Work closely with team members and employees of related departments to ensure smooth communication.
- Create materials for procuring the equipment and parts required for the service and notify the person in charge.
Service
- Install new machines at client site.
- Providing technical training on new equipment installations to the client employees.
- Create reports for all service work and report to the EVP.
- Meeting with the customer to determine the nature of the service or repair.
- Conducting routine equipment servicing out in the field.
- Inspecting and troubleshooting equipment failures.
- Take orders of service parts from clients and inform Customer Service to process orders.
- Manage the workflow as per the given schedule.
- Assist shipping and receiving as needed.
Other Tasks
- Conduct research of the needs of clients.
- Create information documents to support sales when no service tasks available.
- Answers to the technical questions from the clients.
- Brainstorm and develop ideas for creative marketing campaigns.
- Assist with planning and attend various local and National tradeshows.
Qualifications
- High School degree or a technical diploma in a relevant field
- Able to lift 30-40lb.
- Must be fluent in English.
- Prior work experience in a similar field is preferred.
- Computer literacy, including word processing, spreadsheet software, and database applications.
- Able to go on overnight and international business trip (up to 75%).
- Mechanical and electrical skills.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and stand. Also, requires the ability to hear and speak. Required to drive a car.
