What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Pharmacy Technician position at Alwood Pharmacy?
The Pharmacy technician will assist the pharmacist in many of the activities involved in serving patients’ pharmacy needs. The individual must be detail oriented, work well in fast-paced environment and get along well with others.
The pharmacy technician’s job description also includes:
· Greet patients
· Accept prescriptions
· Counting, measuring and weighing medications
· Prepare to be dispensed to patient
· Inventory control
· Stocking shelves
· Good computer skills for data entry
· Customer service
Qualifications:
· Technician certification can be CPhT or PTCB
· At least one year of experience in a community pharmacy setting
