What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Technician position at Main Healthcare Pharmacy?
We are looking for a full-time (40 hours weekly) pharmacy technician between 9:00am-6:00pm Monday-Friday (No weekends or holidays). The pharmacy technician opening is in an independently owned long-term care pharmacy in Bettendorf, Iowa. Our staff places a very high value on quality patient care as well as creating a positive and enjoyable work environment. Main Healthcare Pharmacy is a unique practice site that offers an excellent alternative to retail/hospital pharmacy practice settings.
Duties may include:
-Packaging medication orders in appropriate packaging type
-Packaging daily orders and preparing them for delivery to Nursing Homes and Assisted Living facilities.
-Interpreting and entering prescriptions and medical record information accurately in our pharmacy software
-Answer incoming calls and communicate with medical/nursing staff
- Assist the pharmacist in daily running of basic pharmacy services
-Participate in inventory control procedures and process returns
