Duties

• Conduct positive reinforcement dog training sessions to improve obedience, behavior, and social skills.
• Assist pet owners by providing expert advice on training methods, pet care routines, and behavior management.
• Handle dogs safely during training, grooming, and retail interactions, ensuring proper restraint and comfort.
• Support sales efforts by educating customers about pet products, grooming supplies, and training tools.
• Maintain a clean and organized training area, retail space, and kennel environment to ensure safety and hygiene standards.
• Assist with pet care tasks such as feeding, grooming, pet sitting, and basic veterinary-related support when needed.
• Heavy lifting of supplies or animals may be required to ensure proper setup of training sessions or retail stock management.

Skills

• Proven experience in dog training or animal handling with a strong understanding of canine behavior.
• Veterinary experience or background as a veterinary technician or assistant is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of animal restraint techniques and safe handling practices for dogs and other animals.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners of all backgrounds.
• Familiarity with pet grooming, pet sitting, kennel operations, or veterinary care enhances your ability to serve clients comprehensively.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when managing supplies or assisting with animal care equipment.
• Passion for animals combined with a proactive attitude to educate clients and promote responsible pet ownership. Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
