Position Overview
As a Home Care Community Relations Manager, you will be a vital part of our leadership team, responsible for driving client growth, building referral relationships, and strengthening our presence in the community. You will also play a key role in supporting our company’s quality, revenue and service goals.
This is a strategic, relationship-based sales and marketing role that requires strong communication skills, persistence, empathy, and a passion for serving seniors and their families.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Community Outreach:
Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with referral sources, clients, and community partners
Conduct all phases of the home care sales cycle: initial outreach, educational in-home visits, follow-up calls, needs assessments, service recommendations, care plan development, and conversion to clients
Represent our brand at industry and community events, networking groups, and through public speaking engagements
Sales Strategy & Execution:
Research and identify new referral opportunities across multiple sectors: hospitals, physicians, senior communities, hospice and home health agencies, elder law attorneys, financial advisors, nonprofits, faith communities, and more
Achieve sales activity goals including face-to-face meetings, client inquiries, referrals, conversions, and billable hours
Develop and implement monthly and weekly sales plans with clearly defined goals and strategies
Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all sales activities using our WellSky CRM platform
Marketing & Promotion:
Present company services and materials to individuals, small groups, and large audiences
Plan,schedule, and lead Lunch & Learns, in-service trainings, and senior community events
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and care delivery
Caregiver Recruitment & Support:
Use your network and community contacts to help recruit qualified caregivers
Collaborate with staffing/scheduling supervisors to align caregiver availability with new client needs
Provide occasional backup for on-call support or client care in emergent situations
What We’re Looking For
Required Attributes:
Strong background in relationship-based sales, business development, or community outreach
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
Friendly, professional, genuine, and driven with a service-first mindset
Solid time management, and multitasking and priority setting abilities
Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms (WellSky experience a plus)
Prior experience in home care, senior living, or healthcare marketing is preferred
Passion for serving seniors and supporting family caregivers
Bonus Attributes:
Caregiving or customer service background
Familiarity with the Greenville healthcare and senior services landscape
