Caregiver – 24-Hour Case (Day & Awake Overnight Shifts)
Location: Loris, SC
Pay: Competitive hourly rate starting at $14.75 per hour
Shifts Available:
Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Awake Overnight: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Schedule: Ongoing 24-hour care case (multiple caregivers needed)
About the Role
Always Best Care is seeking compassionate, reliable caregivers to support a male client in Loris, SC. This client is a fall risk and is recently discharged from rehab/hospital, requiring attentive, hands-on care.
We are hiring for both daytime and awake overnight staff to ensure continuous, high-quality care and safety.
Responsibilities
Assist with dressing (daily)
Assist with toileting
Bring wheelchair to bathroom
Assist with stand-pivot transfers
Assist with hygiene after toileting
Assist with transfers using gait belt
Provide bed bath daily (morning routine)
May transition to showering as strength improves
Fall prevention and safety monitoring
Help client back to bed at end of PM shift
Make bed daily and change linens as needed
Light Household & Meal Support
Prepare meals as needed:
Breakfast support (family present)
Prepare or assist with lunch before end of AM shift
Prepare dinner based on client preferences
Wash dishes after meals
Laundry as needed
Light housekeeping: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming
Requirements
Minimum 1 year caregiving experience (home care preferred)
Experience with gait belt and transfers
Comfortable working with fall-risk clients
Must be able to provide hands-on personal care
Reliable transportation
Must pass background check
