WHAT WILL YOU DO
This individual is responsible for the processing of cytology gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens. This individual will handle various types of specimen samples that will require judgment to determine the next steps in the process. They will prepare pap slides and non-gyn specimen slides. He/she will maintain proper staining conditions for these specimen slides. This individual will be responsible for rotating/changing reagents on stainers and tissue processor. He/she will operate and troubleshoot various pieces of equipment. He/she will assemble pap and non-gyn slides cases. Clerical duties include completing PM/QC logs, tracking logs, and document instrument operations. This individual shall maintain a healing environment for employees and patients with a spirit of caring and concern as incorporated in the philosophy of our Catholic healthcare systems while performing all job functions.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous laboratory experience preferred.
