As an LVN, you will work under the direct supervision of a registered nurse to implement the established plan of care for each assigned group of residents. Responsibilities:
- Perform assigned resident care duties in a manner that provides for the physical, psycho-social, and spiritual needs of the chronically ill and technologically dependent resident
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to identify resident needs and develop individualized plans of care
- Administer medications, provide treatments, and perform vital signs as ordered by the physician
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement resident care plans
- Provide resident/family education and monitor resident progress
- Demonstrate clinical judgment and critical thinking in the implementation and evaluation of resident care plans
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of resident care services
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to promote high-quality resident care
- Licensure/Certification: Current, valid, Licensed Vocational Nurse licensure to practice in the State of California; Current BLS certification
- Education: LVN graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Experience: At least six months prior LVN experience in a general acute care hospital setting or acquired equivalent competency
- Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information, and to be easily understood through verbal communication in the English language
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
