Responsibilities
- Set up and operate die casting machines, ensuring optimal performance and safety compliance
- Monitor machine operations, making adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency
- Perform routine maintenance
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and tooling specifications to produce precise components
- Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances
- Maintain accurate production records, including shift logs and inspection reports
- Follow safety protocols related to crane operation, electrical discharge machining, stamping presses, CNC lathes, milling machines, and other machinery
Experience
- Proven experience operating die casting machinery or similar manufacturing equipment in a production environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in machining processes such as CNC programming, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe operations, and stamping presses
- Skilled in blueprint reading and interpreting GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards for precision manufacturing
- Hands-on experience with tooling setup, sheet metal fabrication, assembly processes, and quality inspection techniques
- Ability to use hand tools like calipers, micrometers, micrometer gauges, and other precision measuring instruments effectively
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to forklift operation, crane handling, electrical discharge machining (EDM), plasma cutting systems, press brake machines, welding techniques, and fabrication tools
- Basic math skills for measurements and process calculations in a manufacturing setting
