We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Electrician to oversee electrical projects across diverse construction sites and renovation projects. As a Lead Electrician, you will coordinate teams, interpret schematics and blueprints, and implement electrical systems that power commercial, industrial, and residential environments. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise electrical installation, maintenance, and repair activities on construction sites and renovation projects.
- Read and interpret detailed schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate wiring and system setup.
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain low voltage and high voltage electrical systems in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment to diagnose issues effectively.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other trades such as frame carpentry to ensure seamless project execution.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, including proper handling of electrical components and adherence to local codes.
- Mentor junior electricians by sharing technical knowledge, guiding best practices, and promoting a safety-first culture.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an commercial electrician with a strong background in construction site environments.
- Extensive knowledge of schematics, and blueprint reading.
- Hands-on experience working with low voltage and high voltage systems; familiarity with NEC standards is essential.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment for electrical troubleshooting.
- Ability to read technical schematics accurately and interpret complex wiring diagrams.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with previous experience supervising electrical teams or projects.
- Strong understanding of renovation processes as they relate to electrical systems installation or upgrades.
