In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across commercial and industrial settings. Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments, ensuring adherence to local electrical codes and NFPA 70 standards (National Electrical Code).
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system layouts.
- Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to identify faults or inefficiencies within electrical circuits.
- Conduct high-voltage and low-voltage wiring installations on construction sites or during renovation projects while following strict safety procedures.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including inspection reports, schematics updates, and compliance records.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other tradespeople to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into overall project plans.
- Adhere to all safety protocols related to electrical work, including proper use of hand tools, power tools, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Experience
- Proven experience as an electrician with a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical systems.
- Demonstrated ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and blueprints reading for accurate installation and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with high-voltage electrical wiring as well as low-voltage systems used in automation or control applications.
- Familiarity with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and local electrical codes to ensure compliance during all phases of work.
- Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters for effective troubleshooting of complex electrical issues.
- Construction site experience including new installations, renovations, or upgrades within commercial or industrial facilities.
- Additional handyman skills or frame carpentry experience are a plus for versatile project support.
