Hey there! Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic and talented manufacturing team? Look no further! We're on the hunt for a 2nd shift composite production line lead to join our crew and help us create amazing new products.
What's the Job?
As a Production Line lead, you'll be a key player in our manufacturing group. Your main goal is to work with your team and drive them to keep production running smoothly and meet our manufacturing schedules. You'll be organizing your team of technicians across our lamination workcenter building thermoplastic composites. Production tasks include compression molding, heat lamination, routing, thermoforming. Additional production tasks include cutting, shaping, product assembly and packaging of large finished goods. We'll be making panels of all sizes, from a sheet of plywood to the size of a bus! 2nd Shift 8 hours/ day - Monday - Friday 3:30PM - 12:00 AM (Two 15 min paid breaks, one 30 min unpaid meal) Training will be for 2-3 weeks with 1st shift (7:00AM – 3:30 PM) prior to transitioning to your team.
What You'll Do:
- Direct employees to meet the days production goals
- Work with plant leadership to develop and maintain best practices
- Keep production tasks on track to meet schedules
- Read and understand engineering prints to identify critical dimensions
- Assembly of finished products
- Operate handheld tools like scissors, knives, saws, routers, drills and air tools
- Package completed products, ready for the customer
- Measure and record dimensions to ensure they meet specifications
- Perform physical tasks as part of a team like bending, stooping, lifting and sliding up to 100 lbs.
- Help us improve and maintain organization at work centers
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace
What You Need:
- At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or assembly, or 5 years in the trades
- 2 years in a manufacturing leadership roll
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- High school diploma or GED (technical or engineering degrees are a plus)
- Basic computer skills (MS Office experience is a plus)
- Excellent communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to multitask
- Broad knowledge of fabrication tools and equipment
- Strategic problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in a growing manufacturing environment
- Understanding of basic machine components and routine maintenance
- Team player attitude
- Forklift certification is a plus

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
