JOB SUMMARY
Controls assembly and panel build for automated machinery. Assembly will include electrical, pneumatics and hydraulics of various schematics as required by each automated machine.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
· Reads and deciphers schematic layouts.
· Lays out machines for best practices, efficiency and cost.
· Utilizes knowledge of electrical wiring, sizing and common uses.
· Debugs systems with mechanical assembly and controls engineers.
· Plumbing of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
· Uses analytical thinking to understand the controls assembly and end product assembly processes.
· Disassembles machines and reassembles during installation.
· Work with customers for a successful runoff and installation.
· Considers the finish requirements for a task.
· Uses machines such as: drill presses, mills, grinders, benders and crimpers.
· Possesses knowledge of job schedules and successfully meets deadlines.
· Keeps work areas clean in appearance.
· Engages in ongoing education and promotes continuous improvement.
· Creates reports as directed by Team Leader.
· Performs other job duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have high school diploma or G.E.D. with electrical training.
- Must have at least 5 years of experience in the automation or maintenance industry.
- Must have at least 2 years of experience in wiring control panels (panel building), hardwire machines, pneumatic and hydraulic plumbing.
- Must have ability to read pneumatics, hydraulic and electrical drawings and schematics.
- Must be able to interpret and layout jobs based on controls and mechanical design.
- Must possess the required tools.
- Must be able to lift 75 pounds properly.
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
- Must possess quality communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must possess sound problem-solving skills.
- Must have demonstrated organizational skills.
- Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
- Must be able to work well with minimal supervision.
- Must exercise team effort to achieve success.

- Ability to download and debug PLC programming along with troubleshooting systems preferred.
- Knowledge of robot integration and part path programming preferred.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel out of the country.
