About the Role:
The Facilities Maintenance position in the wholesale trade industry is critical to ensuring the operational efficiency and safety of our physical locations in Colorado. This role involves the proactive upkeep, repair, and improvement of building systems and infrastructure to support uninterrupted business activities. The successful candidate will manage routine inspections, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with vendors or contractors to address complex maintenance needs. By maintaining a clean, safe, and functional environment, this role directly contributes to employee productivity and customer satisfaction. Ultimately, the Facilities Maintenance professional will play a key role in preserving the value and longevity of company assets while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and safety regulations.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical certification or vocational training in facilities maintenance or building trades.
- Experience working in the wholesale trade or similar industrial environment.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- First aid and OSHA safety training certifications.
- Strong project management skills and experience coordinating multiple maintenance projects.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems to ensure optimal operation.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions.
- Coordinate and oversee external contractors and service providers for specialized repairs or installations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and compliance with safety regulations.
- Ensure all facilities comply with health, safety, and environmental standards, conducting risk assessments and recommending improvements.
Skills:
The required skills enable the candidate to effectively diagnose and repair a variety of building systems, ensuring minimal downtime and operational disruptions. Proficiency in reading technical documents and blueprints supports accurate troubleshooting and maintenance planning.
