Altman Management Company, a long-established property management company, is seeking a professional, full time Leasing Manager to join our team at our apartment community in Blackwood, NJ. You'll be helping make our community a great place to live!
The responsibility of a Leasing Manager is to lead the team that provides a high-end experience to prospective and current residents while following Federal Fair Housing guidelines. You and your team will work with potential residents in helping them find the perfect apartment home at our community while maintaining that high level of customer service once they become a resident.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lead the team of Leasing Consultants
- Manage the make-ready schedule in Yardi
- Create and maintain the weekly Leasing report
- Conducts in-person tours of apartment homes to potential residents.
- Answers a high volume of incoming property phone calls.
- Warmly greets prospects and current residents.
- Walks marketing path, model, and show units daily to ensure they are clean and ready to be shown.
- Reviews marketing platforms for accurate pricing and availability.
- Responds to potential resident interest for rental properties in-person and via email.
- Establishes tenant expectations for security deposits, procedures for rent and amenities that will be part of the lease.
- Screens potential tenant credit and background checks.
- Prepares and sends lease documents.
- Ensures move-in packets are prepped and required documents received before move-in.
- Adheres to all Altman employee policies, Code of Conduct and applicable rules, laws, and regulations.

- Experience managing a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least two years managing property leasing experience required.
- Yardi management and Rent Café software experience strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of state Landlord-Tenant Laws.

Pay: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
