We're working with a leading privately owned freight forwarder in Chicago who are looking for a Director of Business Development to join their team.
This is a senior commercial role where you'll be responsible for bringing in new business, growing key accounts and helping drive the company's continued growth across their freight forwarding and logistics services.
What you'll be doing
- Winning new business and building long-term client relationships.
- Growing existing accounts and spotting new opportunities.
- Managing the full sales process from first conversation through to closing deals.
- Working closely with internal teams to make sure customers get the right solutions.
- Keeping an eye on market trends and identifying new areas for growth.
- Building a strong pipeline and consistently hitting revenue targets.
- Representing the business at industry events and networking opportunities.
What we're looking for
- Strong business development experience within freight forwarding or logistics.
- A proven track record of winning new business.
- Good knowledge of air, ocean and supply chain services.
- Someone who's confident building relationships with senior decision-makers.
- A commercial mindset with the drive to grow a business.
