A Houston forwarder needs a senior pricing specialist to own air and ocean pricing and rate procurement. You'd build the quotes that win the business and protect the margin behind them.
Day to day
- Prepare air and ocean quotes for sales and clients, and respond to RFQs and tenders.
- Negotiate buy rates with carriers, co-loaders and overseas agents.
- Manage the rate database and keep tariffs, GRIs and surcharges current.
- Work with sales to price competitively while protecting gross profit.
You'll fit if
- You have at least 5 years in freight forwarding pricing or procurement across air and ocean.
- You are strong on rate negotiation, tenders and margin management.
- You are quick and accurate with numbers under deadline on large RFQs.
- Experience with CargoWise rate management would help.

- $95,000 base, depending on experience.
