Position Overview
The organization is hiring a Business Development Manager to accelerate commercial growth within the Miami market. This individual will focus on securing new business, enhancing existing customer relationships, and partnering closely with internal operations and pricing teams to design tailored freight solutions. The role suits a motivated, consultative sales professional with extensive knowledge of international forwarding and a preference for a hybrid, customer-facing environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Execute a regional sales plan to drive new business across key Miami accounts.
- Target opportunities spanning air, ocean, and multimodal logistics services.
- Build strong partnerships with importers, exporters, and major industry stakeholders.
- Collaborate with operations and pricing teams to deliver competitive, customized solutions.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and CRM updates.
- Conduct client visits, QBRs, and attend local industry functions to strengthen market presence.
- Assist with onboarding new clients and supporting seamless handovers to internal teams.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience in freight forwarding sales or related commercial roles.
- Strong understanding of global logistics, transportation solutions, and end-to-end supply chains.
- Demonstrated history of winning and developing new business accounts.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, organized, and effective in a hybrid work structure.
- Must be based in—or willing to relocate to—the Miami, FL area.
