Position Summary
The Account Manager plays a critical role in supporting customer relationships and driving profitable growth. This position is responsible for quoting, pricing, margin management, contract and purchase order review, and day-to-day customer support, while also assisting with new business development. The role partners closely with operations, sourcing, and outside sales to ensure accurate execution and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage customer quotes, including pricing analysis and margin review
- Review customer contracts, terms, and requirements to ensure alignment with company capabilities
- Enter and manage customer purchase orders accurately and efficiently
- Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned customers, managing day-to-day requests and follow-up
- Support relationship management through proactive communication and issue resolution
- Participate in customer site visits as needed to support account relationships and business development
- Assist with identifying and supporting new business opportunities
- Coordinate internally with operations, sourcing, and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment
- Handle miscellaneous customer requests and administrative sales support tasks as needed
Qualifications
- 2 years of Account Manager, customer service, or account support experience in a manufacturing, or supply chain environment
- Strong understanding of pricing, margins, and cost drivers
- Experience with contract review and purchase order processing preferred
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and follow-through skills
- Proficient with ERP systems, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office (Excel required)
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
