The Role
We’re looking for an experienced, driven Sales Opener to be the first voice our prospective clients hear. You will make outbound calls to taxpayers with IRS tax liens, build trust quickly, identify people who need help, and schedule them for consultations with our Enrolled Agent. If you’re a self-starter who thrives on the phone, stays motivated through high call volume, and wants your pay to reflect your results, this role is for you.
Responsibilities
- Make a high volume of outbound calls daily using company-provided lead lists and dialing systems
- Build rapport with callers who are often stressed, anxious, or embarrassed about their tax situation
- Ask discovery questions to understand the amount and type of tax debt, years involved, notices received, and any active IRS enforcement
- Qualify prospects against company criteria
- Schedule consultations with our Enrolled Agent or warm-transfer qualified callers when available
- Accurately document every interaction in our CRM
- Follow approved scripts and all telemarketing and compliance standards, including accurate, non-misleading descriptions of our services
- Meet daily, weekly, and monthly activity and appointment goals
Requirements
- 1 years of outbound phone sales, appointment setting, or lead qualification experience
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales or appointment goals
- Strong verbal communication and active listening skills
- Comfort with high call volume, rejection, and handling objections
- Self-motivated, resilient, and goal-driven
- Experience with CRM and dialer systems
- Reliable attendance and ability to work on-site in Boulder, CO
- Offer is contingent upon a background check
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of outbound sales experience with a proven track record of meeting goals
- Experience in tax resolution, debt relief, financial services, insurance, or mortgage sales
- Familiarity with IRS terms such as installment agreements, Offer in Compromise, Currently Not Collectible status, penalty abatement, levies, and liens
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)

- $22.00/hour base pay, a steady paycheck, not commission-only
- Uncapped commission on every client secured, with higher rates as you hit monthly goals
