JOB SUMMARY
As a member of the assembly team, the Assembly Specialists will work to assemble products in a safe and efficient manner. Assembly specialists are required to show attention to details with a strong focus on providing a quality product for the end users.
Essential Functions
The emphasis on the Assembly Specialist I is to learn work skills and gain efficiency in the assembly of one unit or sub-assemblies. This position is generally an apprentice position for a new employee with limited work experience. It is anticipated that a full-time employee would remain at an apprentice level no longer than one year. This is highly dependent on the individual’s ability to learn and perform their job task efficiently, acclimate to processes, and maintain attendance and productivity standards. Employee must demonstrate ability to work as team member and independently, problem solve, and prioritize work. They must consistently meet quality guidelines, safely and effectively use tool, and have a solid understanding of processes and techniques before advancing to an Assembly Specialist II role.

JOB SUMMARY

Essential Functions
- Assembly a quality sub-assembly or product efficiently per internal training and work instructions/prints using hand and power tools.
- Follow instructions and guidelines as assigned
- Reference orders and print designs to select appropriate parts for assembly; inspect parts for defects.
- Reviews order, performs inspection, and completes assembly checklist after building unit(s).
- Assure that any accessory items are included with the built product prior to releasing the finished product for inspection by Quality Team and packing/shipping team.
- Completes training, understands quality process, and follows quality procedures as required for provided high quality products to end users as well as FDA and ISO standards and regulations.
- Notify Quality Assurance immediately if any product or material is nonconforming.
- Report inventory shortages as soon as possible and prior to running out.
- Notify your supervisor/line lead if work has been completed and additional work is needed
- Follows policies and procedures; may offer suggestions and provide input into decisions affecting work flows of assembly team.
- May operate pallet jacks, electric pallet lifts, and adjustable tables
- Stop production immediately if any process or defective part affects product quality.
- Completes work in a timely manner with data entered in tablets and is consistently at work and on time. Needs to meet and maintain a daily output standard with each product.

Requirements
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Mechanical knowledge and experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment preferred
- Ability to read and write in English and interpret documents.
- Ability to understand and follow prints.
- Digital literacy: ability to use tablets, computers, and other technology is required. All employees must demonstrate ability to use email, Teams, timekeeping, online learning and other digital technology used within their department.
- Knowledgeable on use of common hand and power tools and ability to operate equipment safely and proficiently
- Ability to maintain attendance expectations; consistently work hours as scheduled.
- Ability to follow policies and procedures.
