Manager/Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition
Position can be located in South Carolina or New Jersey.
The Manager/Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition will be responsible for managing full-cycle recruitment efforts to attract, source, and hire top talent within the pharmaceutical industry. This role partners closely with hiring managers and HR leadership to support strategic talent acquisition initiatives, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and alignment with company culture, growth, and business goals.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for positions across the U.S. R&D, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing/Operations, Commercial and General Administration and Commercial functions.
- Partner with hiring managers to develop job descriptions, determine sourcing strategies, and identify key success factors for each role.
- Source qualified candidates through job boards, professional networks, career fairs, and social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Indeed).
- Screen resumes, conduct initial phone interviews, and assess candidate qualifications against job requirements.
- Coordinate interview scheduling, feedback sessions, and communication with candidates throughout the recruitment cycle as well as hiring managers.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as company policies and industry regulations.
- Support employer branding initiatives, including university partnerships, internship programs, and career fairs.
- Maintain applicant tracking system (ATS) data integrity and prepare recruitment metrics/reports for HR leadership.
- Manager pre-employment processes such as backgrounds checks, drug screenings in partnership with HR Generalist.
- Partner with HR team on workforce planning, succession planning, and talent pipeline development.
- Promote a positive candidate experience and act as an ambassador for the company’s mission and culture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3-5 years of recruitment experience within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industries.
- Strong understanding of FDA, GMP, and other industry compliance considerations related to recruiting in pharma.
- Proven experience sourcing candidates across multiple functions, including scientific, technical, and commercial roles.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (e.g., ADP, Taleo, iCIMS) and HRIS tools.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple requisitions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry trends and competitive landscape preferred.
- Certification in HR or Recruiting (PHR, SHRM-CP, AIRS, etc.) is a plus but not a requirement.
- Experience working with operations and commercial functions preferred.
Base salary range: $130,000 - $150,000 per year. This is the anticipated salary range for fully qualified candidates. The final salary offered will be dependent on several factors that include and are not limited to relevant previous experience, job responsibilities and duration of experience, the type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc.
