We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Companion to provide essential support and companionship to individuals in need. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their well-being. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of resident rights and have experience working with individuals with disabilities, both developmental and physical.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs.
- Assist clients with mobility and physical activities.
- Engage clients in social activities and conversation to promote mental well-being.
- Support clients in maintaining their independence while ensuring safety.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to appropriate personnel.
- Uphold resident rights by treating all clients with dignity and respect.
Experience
- Previous experience in patient care, assisted living, or home health settings is a plus.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
