- Assist licensed practitioners with patient care activities

- Graduation from an accredited school with hands-on clinical training, or completion of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship, or military medical training, or at least one year of healthcare experience
- Current Washington Medical Assistant Certification
- Within 30 days of hire, obtain American Heart Association BLS certification
- Minimum six months of healthcare and medical assistant experience
