Job Summary
Alternative Nursing Services, Inc. (A.N.S) helps individuals of all ages live happy, healthy lives in the comfort of their own homes by providing professional, quality care. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- observe patient conditions to report changes promptly
- Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary restrictions and care plans
- Support residents during meal times and assist with feeding if necessary
- Operate patient lifting equipment such as Hoyer lifts and assist with transfers safely
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through light cleaning and sanitation practices
- Document patient observations accurately and update care plans regularly
- Engage residents in social activities to promote mental well-being and social interaction
- Follow all safety protocols including CPR, First Aid, Alzheimer's care, dementia care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism
Skills
- Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing home, or long-term care environments
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards
- Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and safety assurance
- Ability to assist with ADLs, medication management, and vital signs measurement
- Experience working with people with disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or autism spectrum disorders
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary while maintaining safety standards
- Compassionate communication skills tailored to diverse resident needs
- Certification in CPR and First Aid preferred but not required; willingness to obtain certifications is a plus
- Reliable transportation and ability to work flexible hours as needed
Requirements
- 18 Years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED or activley seeking to complete one
- Ability to pass a background check
- ability to lift/ push/ pull up to 50lbs
