Job Description Job Summary
Alternative Nursing Services is seeking compassionate and reliable Caregivers (HCA/CNA) to support clients with daily living needs in group homes, long-term care settings, and hospice environments. If you’re dedicated to making a positive difference in people’s lives, we’d love to meet you!
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming)
- Prepare meals and support appropriate nutritional needs
- Safely assist with mobility, lifting, and transportation
- Monitor and report changes in client condition or health
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
- Support medication management as directed by healthcare staff
- Provide companionship and encourage social engagement
- Document care provided in compliance with HIPAA standards
Qualifications
- Previous caregiving experience preferred (group home, LTC, or hospice experience is a plus)
- CPR/First Aid knowledge preferred
- Ability to lift, transfer, and support clients as needed
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a clean driving record
- Ability to pass state and national background checks
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English for documentation
- HCA or CNA license preferred (training program available for applicants not yet licensed)
