Lab Technician

Qualifications:

Two years experience as a lab technician or a plater that performed wet chemistry titrations and is proficient using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer.

Duties:

Ensure that processes are maintained per appropriate analysis and maintenance schedules, including:

·        Analysis of solutions according to the appropriate schedules

·        Data entry and charting

·        Make required additions to process solutions

·        Schedule dump and remake of process solutions to ensure as little down time as possible.

·        Ensure dumped solutions are in proper drums and labeled properly or sent to the proper treatment sump.

·        Maintain lab equipment, general housekeeping, including cleaning the floor, wiping benches, etc.

·        Daily inspection of all chemical containers and hazardous materials / waste accumulation areas

·        Monthly Inventory of products used

·        Requisition of chemicals and materials during the month to ensure uninterrupted production

·        Interface with vendors and customers when necessary

Alternate Duties:

·        Keep maintenance schedule updated

·        Shipping and Receiving

·        Assist platers with prep and QC
