Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our dynamic Finance team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with revenue-generating departments, including Admissions, Business Development, and Revenue Cycle Management, to drive financial performance and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights, and a passion for contributing to organizational growth through sound financial practices.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Revenue Teams: Partner with Admissions, Business Development, and Revenue Cycle Management to analyze revenue streams, identify trends, and uncover opportunities for optimization.
- Pattern Identification and Insights: Analyze financial data to detect patterns, anomalies, and forecasting opportunities; deliver clear, concise reports and presentations to the management team to support informed decision-making and positive financial impact.
- Month-End Close Support: Assist in the monthly close process, including reconciling accounts, ensuring accuracy of financial records, and meeting deadlines to maintain timely reporting.
- Financial Statement Preparation and Review: Prepare, review, and distribute key financial statements while ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal standards.
- Analysis: Conduct variance analysis, budgeting support, and special projects as needed, providing recommendations to enhance revenue, reduce costs, and improve overall financial health.
- Reporting and Visualization: Develop dashboards and visualizations using tools like Excel, or Power BI to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in financial processes and recommend enhancements to streamline operations across departments.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a related role, preferably in a revenue-focused environment such as healthcare, education, or services.
- Proven track record of working cross-functionally with operational teams to influence business outcomes.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Valid California Driver’s License required.
- Must pass a LiveScan criminal background check as required by licensing authorities.
- CPR & First Aid Certification required.
Regulatory & Compliance Expectations:
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations, including DHCS, DSS, and Joint Commission standards.
- Follow company policies on safety, confidentiality, and ethical conduct.
- Participate in audits, training, and continuous quality improvement efforts.
