Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced OT Network & Systems Integration Engineer to support manufacturing operations, with a strong focus on industrial networking, system connectivity, and data integration. This role is primarily network-driven, enabling seamless communication between production equipment, information systems, and enterprise IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support industrial network infrastructure across manufacturing environments
- Ensure reliable communication between production equipment, control systems, and servers
- Work with protocols such as Ethernet/IP, TCP/IP, FLnet, and serial communication (RS-232/RS-485)
- Collaborate closely with central IT teams on network security, firewall rules, and system access
- Support equipment integration with plant systems, including troubleshooting connectivity issues during setup and production
- Extract, validate, and report production data using Oracle / SQL Server databases
- Enable real-time and historical data flow for reporting, traceability, and operational insights
- Assist in resolving network and communication issues on the shop floor
- Support system upgrades, installations, and commissioning activities
- Provide documentation and ensure compliance with internal IT/OT standards
Required Qualifications
- 8 years of experience in industrial networking, OT systems, or manufacturing IT environments
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Industrial networking protocols: Ethernet/IP, TCP/IP, FLnet
- Serial communication: RS-232 / RS-485
- Database systems: Oracle and/or SQL Server (data extraction, querying, reporting)
- Proven experience working in manufacturing / plant-floor environments
- Experience coordinating with IT teams on network security and system integration
- Strong troubleshooting skills across network, system connectivity, and data flow issues
Preferred (Good to Have)
- Basic knowledge of PLC systems (e.g., Siemens, Omron, Toyopuc) – not mandatory
- Exposure to equipment integration and automation systems
- Familiarity/ knowledge with manufacturing data systems / MES / traceability platforms
- Networking certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate or similar (not required)
