Job Summary
Our client in Novi, MI is looking for a Feature Owner (FO) – Climate Systems Enginee. This is a contract position.
Role Objectives
Climate Energy Systems champion of 1st principles design methodology and use extensive problem-solving in an environment that contains confidential and proprietary Electric Vehicle information.
Develop and maintain Best Practices: Design Standards, Test Procedures, Technical Specifications. Own the design and performance of cabin climate systems. You’ll develop features that balance occupant comfort with energy efficiency and system cost in electric vehicles.

Feature Owner (FO) – Climate Systems Engineer
Job Summary
Our client in Novi, MI is looking for a Feature Owner (FO) – Climate Systems Enginee. This is a contract position.

Develop and maintain Best Practices: Design Standards, Test Procedures, Technical Specifications. Own the design and performance of cabin climate systems. You’ll develop features that balance occupant comfort with energy efficiency and system cost in electric vehicles.
Key Focus Areas
- Cabin HVAC system design (compressors, blowers, ducts)
- Thermal comfort models and controls
- Defrost/demist performance
- Sensor integration and diagnostics
- Cabin preconditioning and remote climate control
- Required: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering along with 5 years of post-graduation experience.
- 3 years of post-graduation experience in Electrical Vehicle Engineering.
- 3 years of Electric Vehicle Energy Systems experience in HVAC / Climate / Cooling / CFD etc.
- 5 years - Supporting Feature Partners to deliver a set of Features & Functions into Production.
- 5 years of experience with end-to-end delivery of key system functions with release to program milestones
- 5 years of background experience in collaboration with stakeholders through system “V” development from concept to launch with design reviews and cross-functional team.
- 5 years of experience with functional, non-functional requirements, development, validation and signoffs.
- 6 years of experience with domain/working knowledge of SW controls, EE, Electronics, Hardware and expertise in development, testing and validation methods of the Discipline Areas outlined above.
- 6 years of developing component and system design, functional, EOL specifications, detailed test methods and system level DFMEA, DV, PV for complex mechatronic systems.
- 5 years of analytical development using model-based design, MBSE/MBD simulation toolsets, MIL/SIL/HIL
- 5 years of experience leading and/or supporting sprint planning and daily standup meetings.
