```Overview```
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Para Educator to join our team. As a Para Educator, you will work closely with neurodiverse students with high sensory-seeking needs and behaviors, providing support and assistance in their educational journey and personal wellness. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and contribute to their academic and personal growth.
```Duties```
- Collaborate with teachers to implement educational and behavioral plans and strategies
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with developmental disabilities
- Assist students in completing tasks and assignments and understanding lesson content
- Support students in developing social skills and positive behavior
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers
- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Assist with classroom management and organization
- Assist with crisis de-escalation and crisis intervention strategies
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the overall well-being of students
```Skills```
- Experience working with students or children, preferably in special education or literacy education
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively communicate with students, teachers, and parents/guardians
- Knowledge of lesson planning and instructional strategies
- Understanding of child development principles
- Ability to provide appropriate care and support for students with diverse needs
- Proficiency in math concepts and ability to assist students as needed
