This job is specifically looking for people to work 12-hour shifts (6am-6pm), between Monday-Sunday. Shifts can potentially be divided up to 6-hour shifts.

What You’ll Do:

As a caregiver at Alta Living Care, you will be entrusted with the care and well-being of our clients, allowing them to live comfortably and safely in their own homes. Your responsibilities will include:

- Personal Care: Help clients with daily personal hygiene activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting. You’ll ensure their dignity is maintained at all times.

- Mobility Assistance: Assist clients with transferring from beds, chairs, or wheelchairs and help them with walking or other physical activities.

- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and assist clients with eating when necessary.

- Household Assistance: Light housekeeping, such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing, to help maintain a safe and comfortable living environment for the client.

- Medication Reminders: Ensure clients take their medications on time and according to their care plan.

- Emotional Support: Provide companionship and emotional support by engaging in meaningful conversations, playing games, or assisting with hobbies to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.

- Health Monitoring: Be vigilant in recognizing and reporting any changes in the client’s health or behavior. You’ll be the eyes and ears for the client’s well-being.

- Safety Awareness: Conduct regular safety checks in the client’s home and be proactive in preventing falls or accidents.

What We’re Looking For:

We are looking for dedicated and caring individuals who are passionate about helping others. If you have the following qualifications, we’d love to meet you:

- Experience in caregiving, whether formal or informal (personal experience with family members counts!) however, PCA training is preferred.

- A kind, patient, and positive attitude: Empathy is key in this role. We need people who truly care about the well-being of others.

- Willingness to Learn

- Ability to Work Independently: Our caregivers often work without direct supervision, so being reliable and self-motivated is crucial.

- Flexibility: Being available for various shifts, including weekends, is a plus.

- Transportation: You must have reliable transportation to get to clients’ homes.

- Ability to pass a background check: We take client safety very seriously.
