We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Import Operator to join our growing team in New York. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage international import shipments from origin to final delivery.
• Handle ocean and air import files from start to finish.
• Liaise with overseas agents, carriers, customs brokers, and customers.
• Ensure all documentation is accurate and compliant with import regulations.
• Track and monitor shipments, providing regular updates to clients.
• Arrange customs clearance and final delivery where required.
• Resolve shipment issues and provide exceptional customer service.
• Maintain accurate records and update internal systems.
• Invoice files and ensure timely financial processing.

Requirements

• Previous experience within freight forwarding and import operations.
• Strong knowledge of ocean and/or air import procedures.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in freight forwarding systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of U.S. Customs and import regulations is preferred.
