Air & Ocean Import/Export Specialist
Location: Houston, TX
Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 (DOE)
Job Description
Join the Air & Ocean Freight division of a top global freight forwarder in Houston. You’ll manage international ocean shipments, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate with carriers, brokers, and customers for smooth end-to-end logistics.
Responsibilities
- Handle full-cycle ocean import and export operations
- Prepare and review shipping and customs documentation
- Coordinate with overseas agents, carriers, and clients
- Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and international trade regulations
- Maintain accurate data in logistics systems (CargoWise, SAP, etc.)
Qualifications
- 2 year experience in ocean import/export for a freight forwarder
- Knowledge of customs, FMC, and global trade processes
- Proficient with freight forwarding software (CargoWise, SAP, AS400)
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
