Role Overview
The Estimator is responsible for developing accurate cost estimates for small to mid-sized construction projects under the supervision of senior leadership. This role supports project planning, pricing, and execution to ensure projects are completed efficiently and profitably.
Key Responsibilities
- Review proposals, drawings, and specifications to determine project scope, labor, and materials required
- Prepare material orders, cost breakdowns, and supporting documentation
- Conduct site visits to evaluate project progress, troubleshoot issues, and maintain records
- Develop project plans and define required resources, schedules, and deliverables
- Coordinate and negotiate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to secure competitive pricing
- Collaborate closely with project managers and leadership to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all estimates
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; degree in a related field preferred
- Minimum of two years of relevant estimating or construction experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Experience using estimating software such as Accubid preferred
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong understanding of take-off estimating principles and project planning
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and customer service mindset
- Ability to pass a background screen
