What are the responsibilities and job description for the Desktop Support Technician position at Alpine Solutions Group?
Must be able to be onsite 5 days a week.
MUST:
- 3 year minimum experience of desktop/deskside support
- Needs to have been onsite hands on troubleshooting doing face to face support, not sitting in a remote helpdesk need in person support experience- (can think on their feet and come up with solutions face to face)
- Has a vehicle valid drivers license
- Comfortable being only tech at the facility
- Client facing
- Comfortable troubleshooting medical equipment, scanners medical software as well as normal hardware
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues from wifi, mouses, routers, computer set up
- Top Tier Communication – Will be communicating with Execs – Lots of face to face interactions – Knows how to handle a CFO or CEO request- White glove service (handle the issue then create the ticket for C suite)
- Managing accounts in Azure, Active Directory, MS365
- Hands on experience with Active directory-
- Experience with: would be changing security groups, onboarding, offboarding, create accounts, reset passwords. Consider level 1 stuff. Reading group policies., Go into active directory and disable an account.
- Hands on experience with Azure
- Experience with: security groups, whole 365 suite with exchange, teams, SharePoint. Setting up accounts, applying permissions. ASK: what is the diff between on prem password reset and AD Sync password reset?
- Hands on with Microsoft 365
- Experience with: Adding removing users, distribution lists, shared mailboxes, has professionally been in the Admin Portal/Admin Center of Microsoft 365, Familiar with the workings of Microsoft 365, Shared mailboxes, new account in active directory, make sure
- Basic networking skills

DAY TO DAY: Our client, a national Managed Service Provider, is looking for a temp to perm candiate to join their team. This is a hands-on desktop support role that will provide desktop support to two medical buildings in PA, and do support in person/face to face troubleshooting. We are seeking a tech who has strong communication and is comfortable supporting all levels of the organization including the C-suite. We are also looking for a Tech who is strong with Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, and has a basic understanding of networking. In this role, you will get walk up requests from client. The best candidate will have experience thinking on their feet to find answers. Also, there is a level 1 team who can take tickets first, and then pass them to the onsite embedded tech.
