Central Supply Coordinator

Position Summary:

Delegation of Authority: As the Central Supply Clerk, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Completes all assigned tasks in a timely manner.
• Always displays a positive attitude.
• Treats residents, visitors and fellow employees with courtesy, respect and dignity.
• Adheres to established dress code.
• Meets acceptable Company attendance requirements.
• Follows established safety and infection control precautions, policies and procedures.
• Attends and participates in in-service training programs as mandated by regulatory agencies/Company policy.
• Accepts work assignments from supervisor willingly and takes ownership of job responsibilities.
• Follows Company meal and break policy.
• Uses supplies without wasting.
• Maintains monthly inventory of all nursing supplies.
• Orders and maintains inventory of supplies and fills requests according to procedures.
• Places orders on a weekly basis.
• Unpacks and checks supplies upon receipt from vendors and reports discrepancies.
• Maintains order and cleanliness of supply and equipment storage areas.
• Maintains budget.
• Performs any miscellaneous work assignments as may be required.
• Makes independent decisions pertaining to the central supply department without supervision from immediate supervisor.
• Uses discretion and independent judgment as it relates to the central supply department in a timely and efficient manner.

Working Conditions:

• While performing the duties of the job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical and Sensory Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• The employee is frequently required to talk or hear.
• The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
