POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive and conscientious individual to join our administrative team. This is a hybrid role based out of our Granby, MA office, reporting to our Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate is an emerging accounting professional. Whether or not you have direct bookkeeping experience, we are looking for someone who is eager to learn, grow, and become an integral part of our operations. Someone who genuinely enjoys working with numbers, ensuring accuracy, and works diligently and resourcefully. You will handle day-to-day financial entries, support month-end processes, and gain a thorough understanding of how our business runs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and ensure accuracy of entries in QuickBooks
- Invoicing Clients and Vendors for completed installations, service, and rebates
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice entry and payment tracking
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and other financial records on a monthly basis
- Assist the Accounting Manager with month-end and year-end close processes
- Process customer payments through Square and maintain accurate payment records
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for financial documents
- Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal team members to resolve billing or payment questions
- Work collaboratively with our Production and Operations teams to obtain information and documentation required to bring project to full completion, billing and payment
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Accuracy, reliability, proactive work ethic
- Batchelor's Degree or 1–3 years of bookkeeping, accounting, or related financial experience
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with general accounting software and financial systems
- Experience with Square or similar payment processing platforms
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion
- Self-motivated, and comfortable working independently in a hybrid environment
Preferred:
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (Online or Desktop)
- Experience in a construction, contracting, or trade services environment
- Experience working in a multi-entity environment
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Hourly pay: $22.00 – $26.00/hr based on experience
