Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dispatcher to coordinate and manage the timely movement of rental and customer equipment. In this vital role, you will serve as the communication hub between drivers and clients, ensuring efficient scheduling, routing, and delivery operations. Your proactive approach will help optimize our deliveries, pickups and uphold excellent customer service. Responsibilities:
- Coordinate dispatch activities for rental deliveries, pickups and customer moves
- Utilize GPS tools to monitor vehicle locations, optimize routes, and improve delivery efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, outside haulers, internal and external customers via phone systems and emails while maintaining professional phone etiquette.
- Enter data accurately into our operating system, Rental Man, for billing and tracking.
- Manage rental delivery/pickup schedules and coordinating with customers on equipment moves to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
- Analyze transportation delivery location data to identify bottlenecks or delays; implement solutions to streamline operations.
- Maintain detailed dispatch logs, incident reports, and all UDOT required paperwork
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in dispatching within a logistics or transportation environment; familiarity with freight management preferred.
- Strong knowledge of transportation planning, specifically for the equipment rental industry.
- Experience with GPS tracking systems and fleet management software (Rental Man) is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle phone systems and emails professionally.
- Strong analysis skills for assessing routing efficiency and troubleshooting logistical issues.
- Ability to perform data entry accurately using systems like Rental Man (AS400); typing speed is beneficial.
