Substitute Teacher – Dallas and Nearby Cities
Teachers Now is seeking passionate individuals to substitute, support, and step into classrooms across Dallas and nearby cities. Compensation
$90–$120/day (based on education level or teacher certification)
- Flexible workdays Monday–Friday (7:30 AM–4:30 PM), with half-day options if available (7:30 AM–12 PM or 11:30 AM–4 PM)
- Substitute, teach, and implement lesson plans provided by the absent teacher
- Manage classrooms while substitute teaching to encourage participation and maintain a positive learning environment
- Adapt teaching methods to meet student needs while substituting
- Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeteria, and playground during substitute assignments
- Provide in-class assignments based on available lesson plans
- For long-term substitute teaching assignments, collaborate with department heads to ensure continuity and alignment with the regular teacher’s structure
- Associate degree or 60 college hours (required); Bachelor’s degree or teacher certification (preferred)
- Prior substitute teaching experience (preferred)
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills
- Friendly, positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead students of all ages and maintain safety while substituting
- General knowledge across multiple subjects
- Ability to follow or adapt lesson plans for substitute teaching
- Flexibility, professionalism, and strong critical-thinking skills
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, respectful, and safe learning environment
