What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dishwasher/Steward position at Alpine Country Club?
JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented kitchen Steward. In this role you will be responsible for the receiving, rotating, organizing, cleaning, and quality control of incoming kitchen items & Ingredients. Your efforts will ensure the Executive Chef has a clear & Concise view and understanding of current inventory. Every shift the receiver is working will be filled with cleaning storage areas, organizing and re-organizing stock and par levels, and checking quality of incoming and existing ingredients. When Orders come in the recievers main goal will be to check the delivery against the invoice and ensure all items are accounted for, then to properly store them using the kitchen method known as FIFO (First In First Out) to ensure older product is being used first and nothing is expiring due to improper rotation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Receiving and checking orders during delivery days
· Rotating stock according to kitchen standards
· Checking quality of inventory while rotating stock
· Communicating to Chef when stock levels are low or if quality is substandard
· Cleaning storage areas, including but not limited to, Walk in refrigerators, Walk in Freezers, Dry storage areas.
· Daily checks and reorganizing of stock as product is being used
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, & REQUIREMENTS:
· Must keep a clean work area
· Must be organized
· Must be able to remember multiple tasks daily
· Available to work weekends, weekdays, & Nights
· Reliable Transportation
· A passion for cooking and creating exceptional dining experiences for guests
Pay rate $20-$23 Depending on experience
