Job purpose
 
Alpine Air is currently seeking a Flight Follower to be located at their Provo, UT company site. The Flight Follower will be responsible for tracking company aircrafts during 24 hour cargo operations in Utah, Montana, Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska, Texas, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
 
Duties and responsibilities
 
The selected applicant will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties:
  • Tracking airplane takeoff and landing times; monitor aircraft in flight using software tools
  • Enhance safety of pilots by monitoring flights to ensure safe arrivals
  • Fielding communication from pilots
  • Logging flight information
  • Entering flight information into flight following database, FlightDocs
  • Observe safety and FAA regulations
  • Work rotating schedules with other team members in a 24h/7d workload environment
  • Additional duties as assigned
 
Qualifications
 
Qualifications include:
  • Aviation experience is preferred
  • Required to pass background check and pre-employment drug screen
  • Excellent computer skills including inputting data into Excel spreadsheets and using Air Traffic Control software to monitor flights
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Be a reliable team player, reporting for work on time and ready to assist co-workers
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
 
 
Working conditions
 
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic chemicals, and heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually low.
 
This position is a Full-Time, in-office position. Compensation includes competitive benefits and 401k with generous employer match. Paid Time Off and eight (8) paid holidays per year are available immediately upon employment.

The employee must be able to frequently bend, twist, lift, and practice safe lifting methods. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
