Job Summary
AlphaEdge is seeking an Investment Accountant to support investment accounting, reporting, and financial analysis across a diverse portfolio. This role offers hands-on exposure to complex investment structures and accounting processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, solutions-driven, and able to work both independently and collaboratively. This position reports to the Director of Investment Operations and is based in Meridian, Idaho, with a hybrid work schedule.
Primary Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies within Clearwater; coordinate with client service teams to address issues across accounts
- Prepare journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, and support the month-end close process
- Forecast daily bank and trust balances
- Assist with trade settlement and daily reconciliation processes
- Maintain and monitor mortgage loan portfolio activity
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and yearly investment schedules
- Participate in investment team meetings, conduct ad hoc investment analysis
- Collaborate cross-functionally on process improvements and operational initiatives
- Prepare and file state tax returns and research state and local tax issues
- Assist in preparing schedules for auditors and examiners
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
- 1-3 years of accounting or finance experience
- Strong Excel and overall technical skills; ability to learn new systems quickly
- Solid understanding of accounting principles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with investment accounting
- Knowledge of statutory accounting

Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
