Alpha Q, Inc. is seeking a CMM Programmer to join our team!
In this role, you will develop, validate, and maintain CMM inspection programs and methodologies to support production, first article and final inspection activities.
This is a first-shift position and will be located at our Colchester, CT manufacturing facility. Our mission is to put our people first in every decision we make.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the position to include, but not limited to:
- Develop, modify, and maintain PC-DMIS CMM programs for new and existing parts
- Create and maintain inspection plans and methods based on engineering drawings and GD&T requirements
- Generate ballooned inspection drawings and maintain inspection templates and data outputs for integration with High QA software
- Establish and optimize probing strategies, alignments, and measurements routines
- Interface with ProShop ERP to support inspection workflows and documentation
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 3 - 5 years’ experience with PC-DMIS programming for Hexagon CMM's
- Strong understanding of GD&T and the ability to interpret complex blueprints
- Exclelent mathematical skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently
- Punctual, reliable, and willing to work overtime as deemed necessary by supervisor to meet customer demands
- Familiarity with High QA and ProShop ERP software's preferred
Hours:
- We work a 4-day workweek. First shift is 5:30 am - 4:00 pm. A-shift is Monday - Thursday, B-shift is Tuesday - Friday.
Education Required:
- High school or vocational graduate
